A Vehicle to Save Lives
Help Remote Indigenous Communities in Panama Reach Medical Support and Aid
At GeoParadise, we have been working alongside Indigenous communities in some of the most remote and neglected areas of Panama. These are places where roads are barely accessible, clean water is scarce, and medical help is often hours or even days away.
Right now, we face a critical challenge: we need a reliable 4x4 vehicle to continue our work. This is not just about transportation — it’s about getting people the help they need before it’s too late.
We are raising funds to purchase a 4x4 vehicle that will allow us to:
Transport children and families from remote areas to hospitals and clinics for urgent medical care
Provide food, shelter, and support while they stay in the city for treatment
Assist with legal documents and accessing basic rights
Support long-term community projects like access to clean water, health education, and women-led initiatives
These communities live in extreme poverty. Children are malnourished. Water is often polluted by pesticides, oil, or worse. Stillbirths and congenital diseases are tragically common. Many of these problems are linked to environmental contamination, lack of healthcare access, and systemic neglect.
Yet people are expected to survive without even the means to reach a doctor.
For over five years, our colleague Aisen - a woman with an enormous heart and unwavering dedication - has been on the front lines. She supports families every day: transporting them, housing them, feeding them, and standing beside them through medical and legal challenges. But every time we go to these remote communities, we must rent a 4x4 vehicle, which is expensive and unsustainable for a nonprofit like GeoParadise.
