Supporting Indigenous Families Affected by the Earthquake in Panama

Help Ngäbe-Buglé Families Rebuild Their Homes

On 9 October 2026, a powerful earthquake measuring 7.5 to 7.7 in magnitude struck Panama,

with its epicentre in the southern part of the country. The earthquake caused significant damage to homes and infrastructure,

affecting communities across the central provinces and the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca.

Together with Ngäbe-Buglé communities in the Comarca, GeoParadise is working to provide relief to families

whose homes have been destroyed or severely damaged.

Although no fatalities were reported in the initial assessments, many families are facing the devastating reality

of losing their homes and being left without safe shelter.

Urgent support is needed to help these families recover and rebuild.

Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference.
